The (Impromptu) South Florida Shoot: Striking Gold

Tropical South Florida in July - strip malls, Royal palms, intermittent thundershowers and persistent heat and humidity hugging you within an inch of your life!
We are braving it all in order to get Lori Gordon on film!
Who is the lovely Lori Gordon?
She is none other than Selma Weiser's sister... We approached her some time ago when we noticed her commenting on our posts on the Charivari of NYC Facebook page. And as soon as she agreed to grant us an interview, we set sail and landed squarely in Fort Lauderdale.
We were seeking gold, not unlike Juan Ponce de León when he first arrived here in 1513. But contrary to his exploits here, we did in fact strike gold in the form of a Mrs Gordon. A gracious lady who welcomed us into her home and shared her dear memories of her life and times with her sister Selma.
How do you present a portrait of a person? A person who no longer walks among us, yet lives vividly in memory, laughs, love and tears. We proceeded to try... and garnished much more, including beautiful music in the key of Lori's life - wait until you hear it, supporting the visuals of a scene on screen! A touching, intimate sharing of lives...
Our second interview of the day was of Shari Sedlis, former manager of Charivari Workshop. We shot in Shari's home disrupting her and family for a few hours that sunny, hot Sunday afternoon. She shared her recollections of her time at Charivari and working side-by-side with Barbara.
After we "wrapped" and before everyone left Fort Lauderdale, Ric and I decided we should reach out to Jon Weiser. And so, as last man standing, a few days later Jon was kind enough to meet with me and we were able to get together and enjoy a delicious lunch with morsels of Charivari memorabilia.
Our lunch was not only tasty, but eye-opening too as Jon graciously answered many questions I posed to him, clarifying past events and happenings of the company that we've found in our research...
